Moncler and Craig Green’s second collaboration, unlike its first, is an effortless closet mainstay. Here’s why

Moncler C returns

In spirit of the summer season, Moncler C goes lightweight and scales down on proportion without losing (too much of) its magic

Those who love Craig Green adore the British designer for a perspective like no other. His fabrications, his silhouettes, his details — aspects of his winning formula that have consistently ventured into territory untrodden in fashion. Green in short is a visionary, but so is Moncler.

Which is why despite offering up an aesthetically more barren Moncler C collection (in comparison to the first in FW17), within the SS18 range lies plenty to love. Most notably, Moncler x Craig Green's focus on keeping the garments lightweight this time around with the wearer and season in mind. Said crux is achieved through enlisting cotton canvas on trousers and parkas, applying a half-lining on jackets, and incorporating an über light nylon on many a garment — albeit scaling down on Green's namesake jaw-dropping proportions without scraping it entirely.

In Moncler modus operandi, the brand's logo and tri-colour flag is brought to the fore, interpreted as a spliced patten on the headlining ensemble (look 3) and incorporated on the front and back of others. All looks above.
