How to wear swim shorts in Singapore beyond the beach and pool
And look good doing it
When you live in the tropics, swim shorts are basically wardrobe staple. But don't just get any pair: invest in a stylish one so they double as actual shorts and you can wear them outside of the beach, pool parties and barbecues. Go wild with the colours and print—it's summer after all—like the sunny yellow pair with a buttoned waistband spotted at Hermes or the logo-plastered piece at Fendi. Wear with a white tee and Vans if you don't want to go OTT.
With the growing obsession with skateboarding and streetwear, it's no surprise that board shorts are making a comeback. To avoid looking like a slob a la Justin Bieber in 2018 (which is totally fine if you dig the style), choose one that is fitted closer to the body and falls above the knee.
