The latest line of leather goods to join Louis Vuitton's permanent collection takes pride in the lived-in look

French luxury house Louis Vuitton has introduced a new line to its permanent collection: Ombré leather goods. Crafted with the global traveller in mind, the key highlight of the collection is the beautiful texture of its supple leather, aged expertly in the hands of the master artisans at the Louis Vuitton ateliers to obtain a gorgeous, lived-in patina.

The collection features three of the maison's most iconic bags — The Keepall, the Lockit Bandoulière, and the Porte-Documents Voyage — while also introducing a new style, the Cartable, which is the brand's take on a school-style satchel. For the traditionalists, rest assured, the familiar warm brown and anthracite grey of past collections remain, but have been given an update with a dash of decorative Monogram canvas detailing.

The Louis Vuitton Ombré collection will be available in stores and online from 26 June 2015.
