Buro exclusive: Lea Colombo shoots the Saint Laurent FW15 menswear collection
Think '80s grunge rock'n'roll coupled with Parisian-chic and you get a lovechild that is Hedi Slimane’s FW15 collection. In a Buro 24/7 exclusive, check out the collection as photographed by Lea Colombo
After years of looking to California's rock scene for inspiration, Hedi Slimane paid homage to Paris for his fall 2015 runway held during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year; debuting French berets atop leather jackets while models walked in time to the eccentric beats recorded and mixed for the maison by Marlon Magnée, Sacha Got and Sam Lefèvre. And the show's mise-en-scène? A pyschedelic disco twist on the house of mirrors.
From beaded blazers to fur coats and, not to mention, 8-centimetre heel boots, it was rock glamour in tight jeans — be it second skin leather, ultra skinny denim or stovepipe trousers (a Slimane signature). If you think the maison was shy of colour, well, how about a hot pink fur jacket? After something out of this world? Check the spacesuit-silver coat.
As the fall 2015 menswear collection hits Saint Laurent stores in Singapore this week, we take an exclusive look back at the collection through the lens of photographer Leo Colombo.
