'Crazy Rich Asians' actor Henry Golding’s best style moments so far
Longtime fans of Henry Golding would have seen him dressed in a basic T-shirt and cargo pants for most of his documentary work, or unassuming bermuda shorts and flip flops on beach holidays with his wife of two years, Liv Lo. But in the past six months, as he shot to international stardom as the leading actor for Crazy Rich Asians, his style too evolved.
With a hectic schedule promoting Crazy Rich Asians, Golding needs an equally hardworking wardrobe. To make an impression on the red carpet, he doesn't stray far from the classic blue suit. That is not to say he's doesn't colour outside the lines. Note the floral shirt adding character to his Ilaria Urbinati suit at CinemaCon and the unconventional satin Tom Ford tuxedo jacket he wore to the movie's Hollywood premiere, a risk underpinned by impeccable tailoring and a wise choice to go black from the waist down.
Keeping up with appearances on more casual occasions, he opts for not so crazy, but rich, refined pieces he can be himself in, such as a leather jacket from Paul Smith, versatile skinny leg Dolce & Gabbana trousers, Burberry white sneakers, classic driving shoes from Tod's, patent leather brogues (with or without socks) and a Santos de Cartier watch. More stellar style moments are sure to come on his upcoming press tour with Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick for A Simple Favour.
We'll be watching.
