Classic Louis Vuitton men’s bags featuring the monogram are transformed into modern must-haves by Virgil Abloh
The Abloh Touch
Heralded as a creative genius, Virgil Abloh is known for having an acute pulse on the fashion world, one which translates into stunning, modern pieces that leave fans and critics wanting more (see: Hailey Bieber's wedding dress). And as the head of Louis Vuitton’s menswear line, Abloh has once again worked his charm to revitalise beloved classic bags from the label.
Dubbed the New Classics, Abloh worked on three designs — the Steamer, the Soft Trunk, and the Pochette Volga. First created in 1901, the Steamer has been reimagined as a briefcase. The Soft Trunk echoes the brand’s heritage as a trunk-maker. Here, it's cloned in supple leather; constructed in two sizes; and comes accompanied by a detachable shoulder strap for styling versatility. The Pochette Volga can be carried as a small bag or wallet with its detachable chain handle. And yes, they all come in Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram Eclipse print.
Louis Vuitton New Classics will be available from 8 November.
