"The first piece of "luxury" fashion I ever bought was a Raf Simons T-shirt back in 2008. It was my first trip to Paris and I visited a shop called Kokon To Zai. I picked up the T-shirt because I thought it looked cool. Only when I went back home, did I do more research on the brand. That's when I learnt more about the man behind the name and everything else that came along with it, like Antwerp 6 and Martin Margiela. From then on, I was hooked and haven't stopped collecting Raf's work since.

Raf Simons was the first "mainstream" brand that I really got into. At the time, I was also buying more obscure brands such as Henrik Vibskov and Bernhard Willhelm. So far, my biggest collection would still be Raf Simons. Over the recent years, I started to fall in love with Loewe by Jonathan Anderson too. His first few collections gave me the same feeling I had when I first fell in love with Raf Simons. I've also started adding more Craig Green in my collection.

I shop by looking through runway photos to see what catches my eye. I'm more of an outerwear person, so jackets will always be the first thing I notice. Other than that, I have a thing for shoes. I love things that look different, unique. The first thing that comes to mind when I buy something would be: "Would anyone else want that?" If it's something I think people wouldn't wear and I know I can pull off, I'll go for it. I generally pick one or two key items from a collection for archiving or for memory's sake. For me, fashion is a memento of time and it's relationship with style, more than anything else.

My collection of items varies, so there isn't a bigger number of one category than another. If I see something I like, I often buy it and keep it in its box. Most of the time, I don't even end up wearing the things in my closet — please don't judge me! I'm honestly a hoarder and have never sold anything from my curation. But! I've started to learn to get rid of sneakers that I've never worn or just worn once. People keep telling me I need to make space for new things because I'm running out of room for my obsessions. I think I need to get a warehouse space the way Furqan (Saini, @in3pid on Instagram) does to store my archives!

Having said that, I would like to collect more archival Raf Simons pieces circa 2002. At least the parka, someday! If we're flexing, I don't think that I have the "rarest" Raf Simons collections, to be honest, but I do have a few items that I treasure more than others. Anything from spring/summer 2009 or fall/winter 2014 would be my most prized possessions because those are probably my two favourite collections from him. The latter collection, and his collaboration with Sterling Ruby got me excited for the brand again after a histus (on my end) and I own at least one or two key items of each category from those collections. I also crazy about the leather biker cap with metal studs from Loewe. There's also maybe the Loewe Meccano blouson jacket from 2015 which I totally regret not buying. It's on my list."
