Designer of label Yesah, Linda Hao muses on Singapore's unsettling perfection and the value of our passports

You know you've met a Singaporean when... they start complaining before even greeting each other.

I wish Singapore would bring back... imperfection. Everything is so perfect and complete that I can't help but feel a sense of humanity is somewhat missing here.

I'm not a Singaporean, but I really love to complain about... other people complaining (laughs).

Singaporeans should stop complaining about... how they know better when it comes to building our city!

The most underrated thing about Singapore is... that there are so many islands around here to explore, not just Sentosa.

Every time I return to the island, I appreciate... how everything is so convenient. Nothing is impossible here.

The cost of the country's progress... is exactly the value of your passports. I'm a Singaporean PR, and you guys don't know how lucky you are!

The one local dish I would pay any amount for is... Hokkien Mee.

In 10 years time, I would like to see Singapore... become a more warm and friendly place that I feel comfortable being in.

Singapore is uniquely... mixed.

Chicken: Steamed or roasted? Roasted.

Durian: Bitter or sweet? Sweet.
