Milan Fashion Week SS16: Salvatore Ferragamo

Milan Fashion Week SS16: Salvatore Ferragamo
Massimiliano Giornetti’s latest offering for the Florentine maison focuses on lines, textures and lightness

Favourite look: While we loved each of the tiered cotton summer dresses, it was the ethereal silk dress (look 24) with feminine frills running down the leg that left us speechless.

The accessories: Each model wore a pearl necklace and earrings in either white mother-of-pearl or black. And, if you've ever wanted a chic and luxe wine carrier, the Salvatore Ferragamo bucket bag is your salvation (look 21). It's perfect for both work and play. Also, on the hunt for office-appropriate gladiator lace-ups? Check out the wrap-around shoe and sandal hybrid worn with look 25.

Spotted: Little red riding hoods. The capes were another standout piece from the collection — in particular, the accordion pleat maxi cape with a modern twist showcased in look 26.

I spy: On the second last day of MFW, ruching, ribbons and lots of leather for
summer continue to dominate the runway.

Try now: Paperbag waist — preferably in Salvatore Ferragamo's supple leather.
