SONGZIO: PRIM 'N' PROPER
The collection: Titled 'Misanthrope', Songzio's theme seemed to foretell the manic Monday LFWM attendees had to go through thanks to the tube strikes this morning. But the lineup was far from chaotic — South Korean designer Zio Song adhered to his signature palette of blacks and whites, with an occasional dip into warmer shades of camel, tangerine and auburn. Tailored suits were superimposed with brush strokes (looks 18 & 33), going surprisingly well with timeless pinstripes (looks 2, 9 & 34). Textured outerwear had its moment too — in lavish furs (looks 4, 8 & 15), suede trucker jackets (looks 24 & 26), and slung over one shoulder with a single strap (looks 2 & 28).
Favourite look: The all-camel look (look 26) consisting of an undone fedora, trucker jacket, and loose-fitting trousers. Abiding to a strict colour scheme is a foolproof way to get street style-snapped.
Try this now: Don't be afraid to untuck that dress shirt and let it peek through your outerwear (look 25). For the perfect dose of done/undone, scrunch up those sleeves instead of folding them — you'll be surprised what a difference this makes.
