Thom Browne collaborates with Colette, brings into the mix

Grey sky morning

The Parisian institution releases a collection with Thom Browne before its shutters lower for good

By now, the world knows about Colette's premature demise — the concept store that preceded all concept stores is going gently into that good night by year's end. But first, one last masterpiece before the clock strikes twelve.

Thom Browne joins the ranks of Raf Simons, Sacai, Converse, Hermès and Mira Mikatti among other stellar names to produce a limited edition collection with Colette over the last two decades. As one would come to expect, a sea of grey true to Browne's house code unfolds, painted with proud stripes in patriotic red, blue and white. Hand to heart, we'd put our money on the mixed madras dress (a big trend that is set to carry over to SS18), the nylon zip-up (the '80s is here to stay), the bowed oxfords (two classics make for an icon) and the navy blazer embroidered with Browne's beloved dachshund, Hector, in gold (how do we say "cute" in French?).

While the whole catalogue of ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes will be on sale in the famed Colette store, head on to for exclusive picks.

See a selection of the offerings below:

The Thom Browne x Colette collection is available on, and the Colette brick-and-mortar at 213 Rue Saint Honoré, Paris.
