Freitag wants to lend you their travel bags for your next vacation
It has always been the business of Freitag to connect the world. When Markus and Daniel Freitag began upcycling used truck tarpaulins, discarded bicycle inner tubes and car seat belts into eco-conscious bags back in early '90s Zurich, it wasn't in their plan to create the next it-accessory as much as it was within their mission to bridge the gap between people and elements natural and man-made; inadvertently, relieving ourselves of baggage weighing down our lives as well as the environment.
"We prefer access over ownership," declared the designer duo.
In line with that worldly vision, is their borrow-a-travel-bag programme. Whether the rest of the 2017 summer will see you exploring Oman's desert landscapes, hiking through national parks in Taiwan or just lazing around on the entire duration of your staycation at a colonial paradise merely an hour away from Singapore, pop by the official Freitag carrier in Singapore pre-trip — the Actually pop-up shop at Suntec City — or any one Freitag's stores at your point B, to pick up a colourful F512 Voyager cabin-sized backpack for all your OOTD essentials. Packing light? You can call the new F511 Skipper yours (well, temporarily) from 27 July.
The only two caveats:
1. Share your adventures pictorially on social media baring the label #gonewithfreitag.
2. Return your bag three weeks later.
A peek at your future travel companions below.
The #gonewithfreitag borrow-a-travel-bag programme begins now and ends on 30 September.
