Effortless threads for the modern man

While the menswear tailoring scene in Singapore has been nursed back to health by the troop of dapper and precise gents at the top of their trade, the selection of local ready-to-wear collections are few and far between. Enter Dzojchen — the effortlessly cool men's and womenswear local label helmed by British-Singaporean designer Chelsea Scott-Blackhall, armed with a penchant for insouciance and a keen eye for tailoring.

Picking up where the label's fall/winter 2016 collection left off — sleek tailoring bolstered by laidback detailing — Dzojchen spring 2017 (aptly titled The Boys are Back in Town) takes the modern man to the streets. The crisp-cut denim, sleek field jackets and debonair plaid suiting highlights the brand's robust construction with the elegant gent in mind, but, it's a finely executed duality that speaks of Scott-Blackhall's creative flair.

Stripping back the classics and tweaking traditions, the SS17 collection is most notably a sartorial cocktail that serves up the best of both worlds. Behold: Suit jackets cinched at the waist for that rakish air; sweat shorts with frontal pleating in name of staying sharp; and, tuxedo jogging jeans for a dose of both comfort and style. A finely milled and subtly subversive collection distilled for the generation of modern males.

Stay tuned for the Dzojchen online e-shop that's launching in September 2016.
