A Star Is Born: Lady Gaga’s press tour outfits that inspired and bedazzled us all
That jaw-dropping moment
When Lady Gaga takes to the red carpet, it's a definitive, show stopping moment. There's no question about it — she might have a diminutive frame, but when dressed in one of her stunning off-shoulder gowns or razor-sharp pantsuits, she dazzles. This time, we're floored by the various looks she displayed for her A Star Is Born press tour. Starring alongside Bradley Cooper, the film is a modern remake of the 1930s original — perhaps the reason why some of her looks have an old-school Hollywood glamour about them.
Looking every inch a classic movie star, Lady Gaga made a pretty, bubblegum pink statement in a larger than life feathered Valentino Couture gown at the Venice Film Festival, which sent the crowds crazy. At the Toronto International Film Festival, she wore a velvet Ralph & Russo Couture gown with a sequined fascinator, 25-carat Chopard diamond earrings, and for that element of drama — a netted veil, which she later converted into a shawl. Genius.
It just keeps getting better. For press conferences, Lady Gaga channelled a modern-day Marilyn Monroe in Azzedine Alaia, and slipped into another white dress from Victoria Beckham at a photocall. Victoria Beckham gave Lady Gaga her seal of approval, posting a snap of her in the VB dress on her Instagram page with a sweet message: "@ladygaga looks amazing in my #VBAW18 satin drape dress! Can't wait to see #AStarIsBorn x VB."
How can anyone contest that?
