Remember Saint Laurent's epic runway in front of the Eiffel Tower? Here's what else the monument inspired
Not just a photo op
Right after Saint Laurent's spring/summer 2018 presentation in front of La tour Eiffel, the brand proceeded to whisk Kaia Gerber aside for a photo-op while guests were still filing out of the location. What was the rush? You see, the monument all lit up played backdrop, lending a certain synergistic sparkle to the sequinned masterpiece she donned. The sum of its parts: a story many a witness will broadcast, and well, a sight to behold.
Clichéd? Perhaps. But forgiven, for the fruits born of Anthony Vaccarello's sights on the Eiffel Tower that season proved manifold. Then, it was a must-Instagram moment. Here, it's a razor-sharp stiletto. The monument's heft stands tall as the Tower's 110mm heel, its lustre ensnared by inlaid strass, and polish by way of a satin-encased physique. Seductive and Saint Laurent to the core.
