Saint Laurent's Sac De Jour takes on a soft silhouette

A classic reimagined

Anthony Vaccarello injects the house icon with his distinctive spirit

Saint Laurent's new designer is a master of seduction. Just take his runways for example: The glitz and glamour of the '80s live on in a covetable new breed; pared-back to sate the modernist. And then there are the accessories, crafted from an irresistable formula that's one-part logomania and another, devil-may-care insousciance. Case in point: Those rock 'n' roll monogram earrings, and now, the Sac De Jour — reimagined.

Once a no-nonsense top handle, the house classic is treated to discrete nameplates bearing the brand moniker and a slouchier silhouette by way of a supple calfskin body. Known simply as the Sac De Jour Souple, its studded compression strap tabs is what completes the designer's edgy facelift, transforming the go-to business bag into a must-have for those looking to front their rebel rep in spades.
