Saluting our local identity, the American brand pays tribute to Singapore with adorable, limited-edition accessories

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. The adage offered up at every turn might be clichéd, but only because it rings true when it comes to crossing borders. Setting up shop — or rather, their largest flagship store here in Southeast Asia — just this September, Michael Kors inaugurates its boutique with a limited-edition, Singapore exclusive product pack.

As an homage to our country, the collection infuses the local quirks, perks and culture of our little island, first and foremost adopting the punchy red of the national flag as its foothold. Plan ahead and snag either a calf leather mini backpack, crossbody or wrislet adorned with marquetry heart motifs and patterns to get in the spirit for the upcoming festivities — blink, and it'll be time to celebrate the Lunar New Year before you know it.

Prefer something a little more understated? Pick from six sweet stickers and don them like a badge of honour. Be it the Supertrees that crown Singapore's skyline or a mouth-watering chilli crab, make room for them on your patched jackets and phones because, why not show the love for our tiny isle more than just once a year?

Shop the limited edition Michael Kors Mandarin Gallery capsule collection from today, 15 November, at the Mandarin Gallery flagship boutique located at #01-12/13 and #02-13.
