Kim Jones x Nike: The designer's three favourite Nike sneakers inspired this new hybrid kick
Coming together for their love for football, Nike and Dior Homme's new man, Kim Jones are due to release a co-collection titled "Football Reimagined" tomorrow. The English designer cites the '70s punk movement in London as inspiration for the DIY ethos of the range of garments and sneakers.
Clothing wise, he has reportedly put a fresh spin on the silhouettes of traditional football outfits, but Jones has spoken out more explicitly on the mind map behind his hybrid Nike shoe, the Air Max 360 High: "I was looking at the silhouette of the Mercurial along with my three favourite Nike shoes: the Footscape, the Vandal and the Air Max 97. Combining these into one shoe is an homage to punk, but with a super-slick end product," the designer explained.
