Converse x J.W. Anderson's Run Star Hike sneakers are part Chuck Taylor, part hiking boot — and all attitude
Take a hike
The simplest reinterpretations of familiar classics are often the best; they retain, after all, the lion's share of the original's appeal, while introducing just enough difference to entice the beholder. Such is the case with Converse x J.W. Anderson's new Run Star Hike sneakers, which combine a Chuck Taylor upper with a chunky, bicolour, hiking boot-style lug sole. There's something delightfully perverse — and so J.W., wouldn't you agree? — about appending a feature built for rough and uneven terrain to a shoe originally designed for the smooth surfaces of basketball courts.
The Converse x J.W. Anderson Run Star Hike sneakers will be available from 25 April at Pedder on Scotts.
