To be fair, this one is relatively low on the danger scale — it doesn’t entail the use of lube, gorilla glue spray, or nail files anywhere near your mien, nor does it require extensive crafting skills. Instead, it seems entirely reliant upon two things: Faith, and a very steady hand.

But we digress. Dubbed “#whitedots” and “#four dot hypnosis”, this trick was first conceived by TikTok influencer, Michelle Diaz. Said tip is both simple in premise and execution — where Diaz believes that sporting white dots of eyeliner around your peepers strategically will make just about anyone fall in love with you.

According to Diaz, said marks help “add a twinkle to your eye”, and that men have assured her that “they haven’t been able to stop looking” ever since she started wearing her makeup like this. Incidentally, she also thinks it’s a cute look to sport for anyone who’s not into heavy eyeshadows, or for people looking to supplement their snatched eye looks with a hint of whimsy.

To partake, simply utilise your favourite white eyeliner and dab dots around each eye. One at the inner corner; one along the outer corner; one smack in the middle of your eyelid and eyebrow; as well as one below your lower lash line. For the sake of symmetry, make sure aforementioned dots are all relatively aligned.

And while there’s no scientific or legitimate form of backing re: this hack, the white dots hashtag has been blowing up with positive results. We’ll be awaiting the moment when someone acquires a marriage proposal from it — but in the meantime, we suppose there’s no harm in giving this a go.
