It's been quite a while since Phase 2 was introduced  and so, more and more of our favourite eateriesbars, and attractions have opened up their doors to customers. With that being said, bigger events still remain on hold. Not to fret though. This week, catch the annual Orchard Christmas light-up at home, make a wish on a dandelion, and watch an eco-film to learn more about the environment.

CELEBRATE | Christmas on a Great Street
It's nearing mid-November, and you know what that means: the annual Christmas light-up at Orchard Road. Though usual street festivities accompanying the light-up has been called off this year due to social distancing measures, new highlights can be expected. For the very first time, those watching the light-up from the comforts of their home can experience "driving" along the 2.9km stretch from Tanglin Mall to Plaza Singapura in a virtual tour that will feature 360-degree views. This year's light-up is also dedicated to front-line workers, and you can nominate a front-line hero by sharing a story of their resilience to win prizes for both you and them.

The official light-up ceremony will be streamed live on November 13. To view the light-up virtually, click here.

EXPERIENCE | Dandelion at Gardens by the Bay
Another flower is temporarily joining Gardens by the Bay, but it's not your garden-variety bloom. Make a wish on an interactive Dandelion, an installation experience briefly installed at Gardens by the Bay. As part of artist Ryotaro Muramatsu and NAKED's global art initiative named the Breath / Bless Project, the installation is one of multiple Dandelions that are set up in varying locations in Japan. To make a wish, scan the QR code and point your phone at a sensor, which will trigger the scattering of dandelion fluffs before they're carried to another location to produce a new flower.

From now till 15 November. Click here to learn more about the event.
