5 things to do this weekend: 30 March - 1 April
MUSIC | Binyl: A Music Fair
For music lovers and collectors alike, head down to this event at the newly opened bar and fill up your vinyl collection with genres ranging from indie and rock to the good ol' '80s. If you don't have a turntable, take home other music trinkets such as shirts, books and accessories. Local vinyl store Vinylicious will also be participating in this fair.
MUSIC | Hot from Barcelona: DJ Isaac Jordan
Philadelphia-born DJ Isaac Jordan will be hitting the decks with over a decade of experience, performing at clubs around the world like Miami, Paris and Barcelona. Highly sought after by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Snoop Dogg and Steve Aoki, you wouldn't want to miss his well-recognised mixes and as you groove into the wee hours of morning.
EXHIBITION | Travels with My Teacher
Award-winning painter Ong Kim Seng will be putting his watercolour paintings on display, along with the works of 48 of his students. With almost four decades of experience, his paintings (which are loved by Queen Elizabeth II) are inspired by trips through Bali, Nepal and Tibet. Ong's 'Majestic Potala, Tibet (2017)', will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation for fund-raising. Visitors can purchase the paintings showcased during the exhibition.
SHOP | 12th Kranji Countryside Farmers' Market
Visit this farmers' market for healthy produce and products from over 50 local farmers and artisans while sipping on coffee from Good Coffee Please Cafe. Look out for local brands Chufala and Kueh Ho Jiak, who will sell healthy drinks made from chufa and traditional kuehs free of preservatives and artificial colouring, respectively. 12 vendors from Thailand and Indonesia will also be participating.
