Singapore Design Week 2018: 5 things to look forward to

1. The inaugural Brainstorm Design
Organised by Time Inc in partnershio with DesignSingapore Council, the editorial teams of TIME, Fortune and Wallpaper* will bring together representatives and creatives in business, public policy and the design industry to discuss all things design, including issues on sustainability and how to engage communities. You can hear from Airbnb co-founder and chief product officer Joe Gebbia, Changi Airport Group CEO Lee Seow Hiang and Heatherwick Studio founder and design director Thomas Heatherwick.

2. The return of SingaPlural

3. Wallpaper*'s 'Handmade 2018' exhibition
In July 2017, Wallpaper* had a head start and invited young Singaporean designers to submit their concepts for an open call for the Next Generation Designer. Seven Singapore pieces will debut at the new Red Dot Design Museum from 8 March before making their way to Milan Design Week in April 2018.

5. The awesome design fair, Market of Artists And Designers (MAAD)
More than 70 creative booths are promised to fill up this design fair, which brings in local craftsmen and enterprises. Here's where you'll discover Singapore design's next big thing, fingers crossed.
