Is there a correlation between masturbation and menstruation? This study aims to find the answer
The #Menstrubation initiative
Is there a correlation between masturbation and menstruation? And more importantly, can an orgasm really help to alleviate menstrual cramps? According to various experts, the dopamine and serotonin that your brain releases during sex changes your pain sensitivity, which may be the reason why some feel like that is the case. But just how universal is this experience for women across the board?
Two women-centric brands, Lunette and Womanizer, are joining forces to conduct The Menstrubation Initiative — a study of 1,000 people who experience menstrual pain. Over the course of the next three months, participants are required to masturbate to help ease their menstrual pain, and then fill up a short survey and share their experience (anonymously, of course) with the team.
For their efforts, all participants will also receive a Womanizer Starlet and a Lunette Menstrual Cup. To be a part of this study, click here. Registration ends 31 May.
