Social media scoop: Paris Couture Week, Sundance Film Festival, Oscar nominations
Women we love
1. One in a 8,000
In a crowd of thousands, Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron might or might not have stood out at the Women's March in Main Street at Park City, Utah.
2. He's a legend
With Sundance Film Festival coinciding with the Women's March, other celebrities also took time to make their point across. One of them's John Legend.
3. Sundance kid
Lily Collins shared her story with the world in press interviews and the Sundance premiere of the anorexia semi-autobiographical film To The Bone. Written and directed by Marti Noxon who based the film on her own experiences, Collins also took the opportunity to share her connection with her role.
4. Salma's Sundance away from the cameras
Also premiering is the new Salma Hayek drama-comedy, Beatriz At Dinner, also starring John Lithgow and Chloe Sevigny. Hayek plays a holistic therapist who is invited for dinner with the woman — and a host of quirky characters — whose teenage daughter she helped care for.
5. Hidden no more
Yay, Hidden Figures! The life about female African-American mathematicians at NASA has garnered three Oscar nods: Best picture, best adapted screenplay (from the non-fiction book by Margot Lee Shetterly) and best supporting actress for Octavia Spencer. Oscars #notsowhite, after all.
6. Paris calling
It's about time these bombshells met. In Paris to reportedly shoot a new campaign for Chanel, Paris Jackson schmoozed with Bella Hadid, who walked the brand's couture show.
7. Sleepyheads
Also in the Chanel couture show was Kendall Jenner, who chose an apt picture of her niece North to mimic how fashion week really takes a lot of you.
8. Last minute frenzy
Before walking Riccardo Tisci's Givenchy menswear show in Paris, Joan Smalls sits still for some quick touch-ups.
9. Backstage beauty
French model Cindy Bruna showed off the chaos behind the scenes at hair and makeup.
10. Last one standing
The Chanel show isn't short of show-stopping, high profile beauties, and Lily-Rose Depp's one of them. Closing the show with Karl Lagerfeld as his chosen bride, the model and actress made mother and former model Vanessa Paradis (who was in the crowd) proud.
