Music Matters Live 2018: Bakers in Space, DJ Ghetto, DJ NashD, HubbaBubbas, iNCH, ORANGECOVE, Retrofocus, and ShiGGa Shay to perform
If you’ve already heard of Inch Chua and ShiGGa Shay, then congratulations — you’re plugged into the local music scene and probably don’t live under a rock. To further your music education, we suggest booking a ticket or two to Music Matters Live 2018, which makes its triumphant return for the eighth time to Singapore.
Held at Clarke Quay, the five-day music festival will acquaint you with the likes of Retrofocus, Bakers in Space, ORANGECOVE and HubbaBubbas. Among the 35 emerging acts from 14 countries, the bands will join Japanese rock outfit Amnesia, Shanghai-based electronic producer CORSAK, Filipino alternative rock band Over October and four-piece alternative/indie band from Kuala Lumpur Midnight Fusic. Love some good old K-pop? Seungri of Big Bang fame will close the music festival at the Liquid Nights show in Zouk. To hear up and coming sounds from the Philippines, head to Bandwagon’s stage.
On the home ground, we’re particularly excited to hear rock outfit Bakers In Space’s ‘Fools & Liars’, a number that’s been used in a few television series in Singapore. There’s also HubbaBubbas, whom we’ve heard from Korean drama Barefoot Diva.
