Mosaic Music Series 2017 lineup: Feist, Bernhoft, Shugo Tokumaru and more
Save the dates
The Mosaic Music Series by Esplanade has always been responsible for introducing up and coming talents with the Singapore masses. After all, it's where Grimes performed Oblivion before Dior had even caught hold of her hypnotic prowess, and where St. Vincent graced us with her quiet, whimsical nature ahead of Cara Delevingne's romance.
The concert and gig series is back for their year-end edition, this time celebrating "The Art of Song" with the likes of Feist, Bernhoft and Shugo Tokumaru. Indie pop darlings the world would recognise Feist from many a cult movie soundtrack, as well numbers such as 1234, Mushaboom, So Sorry, and other tunes of love and heartache. The four-time Grammy-nominee returns to Singapore Concert Hall with songs from her latest album, Pleasure — her first in six years.
For something a bit more experimental, you'd take to multi-instrumentalist Shugo Tokumaru, who brings with him a repertoire of tunes pop backed by a rich history in punk, Japanese pop and the Beatles. Other Singapore debuts include Grammy-nominated Norwegian R&B artist Bernhoft, as well as fellow Scandi jazz vocalist Sinne Egg. For a 360-degree sonic experience, FERRY and Canvas Conversations will collaborate with visual artist Aqilah Misuary to explore the relationship between human emotion and artificial intelligence.
Mosaic Music Series takes place from 10 to 14 November at Esplanade. Tickets go on sale on 22 September.
