Formula 1 Singapore GP 2018 entertainment lineup: The Killers, Liam Gallagher, Martin Garrix, Dua Lipa, Simply Red, The Sugarhill Gang
The Singapore Grand Prix has always been known for bringing in some of the biggest names in the music business — we've had the likes of Queen, Kylie Minogue, Bon Jovi and Maroon 5 in the past. Singapore's definitely spoiled when it comes to concerts, and with the annual Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix extending till 2021, we're in for the ride of our lives, off-circuit. And what a ride it's been.
Our adrenaline's going to hit an all time high this year. Released this morning, news of the entertainment lineup promises acts such as The Killers, Liam Gallagher, Martin Garrix, Dua Lipa, Simply Red, The Sugarhill Gang and Jay Chou come 14 to 16 September. The Killers aren't strangers to the Formula 1 stage — they were last here in 2013 after a 10-year wait.
Oasis' Liam Gallagher will be performing hits from his solo work, and hopefully some of the Mancunian band's discography as well. If you've never seen ABBA live, tribute band BJÖRN AGAIN's the closest you can get to them, with an endorsement from former ABBA member Bjorn Ulvaeus himself. Does Dua Lipa never get sick of Singapore? It'll be the 'New Rules' singer's second time this year after her last concert in May — not that we're complaining.
Other musical acts include African-based collective Afro Celt Sound System and Indonesia's folk-pop duo Stars and Rabbit. Local musicians have also been added to the huge lineup, which includes Joanna Dong, M1LDL1FE, MYRNE and EATMEPOPTART.
The 2018 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix will take place from 14 to 16 September. Book tickets.
