Esperanza Spalding, Gilles Peterson and David Foster join the full Sing Jazz 2017 lineup

The Singapore International Jazz Festival returns this year to bring together fans and would-be addicts to the multi-faceted world of this genre. In their fourth installment, the festival might be the little sister to the bigwigs of the region — Java Jazz in Jakarta and Rainforest World in Sabah — but its youth is steadily putting Singapore on the music map. Last year's lineup was powered by the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, BADBADNOTGOOD and Joss Stone in a show that also championed local talents Charlie Lim, Dru Chen, Tim De Cotta, Weish and The Good Life Project.
2017's full lineup is set to follow a similar pattern, banking on Grammy heavyweights, mainstream names and world music headliners. Esperanza Spalding, Gilles Peterson, Ray Parker Jr. and HITMAN David Foster & Friends join famous names such as Corrine Bailey Rae, Basement Jaxx and Rudimental while Aaron James Lee (of The Steve McQueens), Alemay Fernandez and Nick Zavior (a favourite at Esplanade) make up the Singapore contingent. Sing Jazz is also introducing an indoor VIP party venue dubbed The Late Show to tempt tastemakers with a more intimate setting.
The Singapore International Jazz Festival & The Late Show 2017 will be held from 31 March to 2 April at Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo and Convention Centre. To book tickets, click here.
