Buying your first art piece? The Affordable Art Fair Spring Edition might just have what you want
Seek and you shall find
Want to buy art and don't know where to start? The Affordable Art Fair returns to bring you 41 galleries and over 300 artists in an open, non-committal and non-intimidating space.
Aimed at welcoming new buyers, all works are priced between $100 to $10,000, with the majority of works at under S$7,500. If you're new to the art scene, don't fret. The fair has programmed Art Shopping Tours with fair director Alan Koh, as well as a Personal Art Shopping Experience which you can sign up for. Rest assured, you're not alone — the fair has shared that 30% of their visitors have never bought an original art piece before.
Among this year's standouts include works by Indonesian artist Syaiful Rachman, who deals with mainstream culture and mass media in his paintings. Another is Dutch artist Paco Raphael, whose paintings of photographed cities invite you to discover the industrial past of the '50s to the '70s.
Affordable Art Fair Spring Edition takes place from 22 to 24 at the F1 Pit Building, 1 Republic Boulevard. For more information, click here.
