Acne Studios launches a limited release of pillows, cups and a blanket inspired by its desirable scarves
Swedish contemporary fashion label Acne Studios might be best known for its thick luxurious scarves, but it has ventured into other design fields in the past. A prime example would be Acne Paper, its now-defunct bi-annual cultural magazine and publishing arm. Now, inspired by its most recent collection of logofied colour-blocked and checked scarves, the brand is moving into interiors with a limited edition line comprising an oversized blanket, two cushions and an assortment of cups.
The patchwork blanket with asymmetrical fringing is made up of the classic fringed Canada, supersized Kelow and checked Cassiar iterations. The cushions come in two sizes, rectangular and square. Similar to the blanket, both have been cut and sewn with pieces of the woolly neck-warmers and finished with a large print of the signature branding and large-type washing instructions as well as stitched-on 'AS' monogram.
The handmade cups take their inspiration from the patterns and colours of the scarves. Their terracotta red and seafoam green bodies of various sizes are boldly juxtaposed with royal blue, traffic red and lemon yellow handles. Teatime on the couch has never looked better.
