FILMS | Asian Restored Classics (ARC) film festival
The Asian Restored Classics annual film festival, organized by the Asian Film Archive, showcases timeless films that span from the '20s all the way to the late '90s. Notable selections include Ozu's Tokyo Story, Fruit Chan's Made in Hong Kong and Chen Kaige's Yellow Earth, among others.
Till 2 September, 8 to 10pm at Capitol Theatre.
PARTY | Live band: Cuban Party Night
It's time to party hard and show off some Latin dance moves. Havana Social Club, a band specializing in Cuban and Latin music, will be performing live at the Blu Jaz Café on the much anticipated Cuban party night.

POETRY | Spoken Word Sundays - Carnival of Poetry: Echoes from Home
Organised by the migrant workers of Singapore, this spoken word poetry event opens its door to all poetry enthusiasts, regardless of backgrounds, to submit their works, and will showcase selected ones for recitation and discussion. 'Echoes from Home' will allow you to forge emotional connections across borders through the written word.

CONCERT | SingaPOPera
This concert celebrates 30 years of musical production by Dick Lee, performed by a cast of talented local musical stars Sebastian Tan, Alemay Fernandez, Denise Tan, Dwayne Lau, Frances Lee, Benjamin Chow, Cheryl Chitty Tan and of course Lee himself. Songs from iconic shows like Fried Rice Paradise, Beauty World, Sing To The Dawn, Nagraland and Forbidden City will be performed.
