5 things to do this weekend: 23 - 25 February
FILM | Singapore Cult & Underground Film Festival (SCUFF) 2018
Catch the Singapore premiere of Have A Nice Day, where director Liu Jian's main protagonist is a bag of cash. This animation feature also bagged (pun very much intended) the 2017 Golden Horse Award. If you're up for something a bit more old-school, check out the 1972 Yakuza cult classic, Wandering Ginza Butterfly.
Till 25 February at SCAPE.
ART | STPI Open House 2018
Join STPI's printmaking and art workshops inspired by printmaker and sculptor Kim Lim's exhibition, 'Sculpting Light'. Carve out your own print on linoleum, create your own marbled cover, bind a personalised notebook and print your own stenciled tote bag.
24 to 25 February, 11am to 5pm at STPI.
MUSIC | OutIn 005 - Semut Semut / KIRI
The Analog Vault's in-store performance series returns for audiophiles to check out Semut Semut, the psychedelic folktronica project by members of tropical pop outfit Specific Islander. Joining Fahruddin Hamid and Joanne Cheah is ambient and techno producer KIRI, who'll be DJ-ing a set.
24 February, 5pm to 7pm at The Analog Vault.
FOOD & DRINK | Let's Give You Something to Taco Bout!
Ain't no party like a taco party. Crackerjack's planned for a day of Mexican-inspired goodness, with shifts taken up by Singapore chefs and bartenders. Try stuff from Park Bench Deli's Andrei Soen with FIVE TEN's Nick Kishore, Artichoke's Bjorn Shen with Super Loco's Nelson Burgos and Vasco's Jennifer Lee with Crackerjack's Alysia Chan and more.
25 February, 12pm to 8pm at Crackerjack.
PARTY | Good Times 10TH Anniversary: Party NO.1
The music and party series celebrates its 10th year with a music and merchandise market as well as sets from Matteblacc crew's Drem and Jnr, Darker Than Wax's Rah, Fauxe and special guest Samiyam. Listen to a teaser from Fauxe below.
