#ManCrushMonday: Russell Tovey
Pick of the week
With season two of Quantico well underway, we see a lot more of Harry Doyle, played by 35-year-old Essex charmer Russell Tovey. Playing an openly gay character on a police drama is an eye-opener, with such a role a rarity in television. Tovey has a penchant of playing characters caught in a tough spot due to their sexuality. In film The Pass, he played a soccer player in a sport where homophobia was shown as rampant; and in the upcoming London revival of Angels In America (also starring Andrew Garfield), he'll play Joe Pitt, a closeted Mormon Republican.
As the remaining episode of Quantico's second season reveals more of Harry's past, our spotlight's on the London-based actor, whose apartment is a gallery of his favourites (his first ever piece is one by Tracey Emin). He's quite active in the art scene too, taking his French bulldog Rocky everywhere.
