Orio: Buro. Singapore Garden Beats Playlist #198
These ten songs are good for any time of the day. It could be a workout playlist, or just as good for a chill-out session and definitely great for a daytime garden party. Most of the tracks are from artists who we have hosted in our recent Fat Fish events. It will probably be similar to what I'll play at the Garden Beats main stage to warm up the brains for the rest of the day!
The first track, "My Way Home", is by my friend Ronen Sabo aka Obas Nenor, the first Israeli who made it onto the label of one of my favourite artists from Detroit, Moodymann, Mahogany Records. The track always spreads the right vibe to start a good dancefloor like when Sabo played at our Strawberry Space 4 party.
I can say with a hand on my heart that Wolf+Lamb is one of the main reasons I do what I do. Their music opens a room in my brain and I just fall in love with their fat and sexy vibe. We booked them for the 1st Strawberry Space and we have become friends since then.
PRZ's "Shrimp" is off Bauhaus Records. The bossman Amichai played at Strawberry Space 3 and has become a really good friend, helping me with new music and hot bookings. You'll probably see him again in Singapore soon, bringing with him the underground vibes of Tel Aviv!
Nick Monaco played at the first and second Strawberry Space. Nick for me is the Prince of Crew Love, another artist I liked before I met him and loved even more after we met in person. You can't really understand Nick and his music if you don't see this star live. "Heroin Disco" is off his latest album.
My last song is by Louie Vega who played at Strawberry Space 3. It was really great to see a house artist who has played for over 35 years, just get better and better with the years and still have an amazing personality. This song always makes me happy and also says how thankful I am to the souls who have danced with me in the last few hours.
