Life is so good you might as well throw some bacon on it, says Nick Jonas
Nick Jonas totally had us at bacon. Sure, he's impressed us before with addictive hooks in Jealous, but the youngest Jonas brother has always been known to mature, non-Disney audiences as that dude who's friends with Demi Lovato, and who's dated Selena Gomez. But with Bacon, his third single from upcoming album Last Year Was Complicated, those rose-tinted pubescent goggles are coming off, my friend. And it's off at the right time. Following singles Chainsaw and Close (featuring Tove Lo), Jonas is starting to venture into a more mature audience with his third album. Well at least, he tries to. In Bacon (featuring Ty Dolla $ign) he sings about the simple life of drama-free relationships and, well, bacon. Unless bacon is an innuendo (in which we realised we really have to update ourselves with whatever these kids are saying these days), Jonas craves freedom in late nights, sweet talk, and something sizzling and white hot. It sounds like breakfast for dinner to us — think: Bacon with just the right amount of caramelisation, waffles dripping with honey and white hot buns. Enjoyed late at night. Lover optional.
