UK born, Singapore-based songstress, Ffion tell us more about her new EP, Bad Habits, and performs a killer mashup

When we first heard Ffion's alt R&B debut single, 'With U', last year we knew she was destined for big things. Spotify felt the same way, naming her as one of their artists to watch for 2017 and the 21-year-old ingénue has since racked up over 550,000 views on the streaming service alone. Now armed and ready with a brand new EP, the honeyed toned singer-songwriter scavenges through romantic relationships lost, resurfacing with lyrics that cut deep and sound all the more intimate in her richly nuanced voice.

In the backseat, we discover that it was a love for musical theatre growing up that set Ffion down the muso path, leading to her recent graduation from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA(Hons) specialising in Electronic Music. This is where she met classmate and artistic collaborator, Grosse, who produced five of the six tracks featured on the Bad Habits EP, with the bonus track 'I Got You' produced by The Summer State's guitarist, Shaykhandbake.

Currently pursuing music full-time, Ffion's already back in the studio working on new material and her next creative outlet — a small capsule fashion collection that's due out soon. It's clear Ffion's only just getting started. With her adorable toy poodle, Teddy, along for the Buro Backseat ride, hear Ffion sing, spill on her bad habits, and reveal her secret to songwriting.

Ffion's latest single 'Rumours' and her album, Bad Habits, is available on iTunes and Spotify.
