Buro. Hangouts: Catch local singer-songwriter Inch Chua ‘live’ in an intimate virtual concert
Let the music heal your soul
It's been forever and nine days since the Circuit Breaker began. Some of you may find yourselves having more free time. Some of you are not unbusy at all. (Big shouts to frontliners, stay-home mums, caregivers, heads of households, those struggling with mental health, and everyone who are working doubly hard in all of life's departments to keep afloat during the pandemic - we see you.) No matter what's been taking up your hours at home, the fact is that all of us are isolated from people right now. Which is why we've made Buro. Hangouts, our multi-programme virtual event, a weekly affair, in the hopes that it will make this open-ended separation a little bit more bearable as we bring our community together for a slew of beauty-, fashion-, fitness-, wellness-, or culture-related experiences.
On 25 April, we are bringing Singaporean singer-songwriter Inch Chua to your homes for an intimate live concert at Buro. Hangouts. Formerly the lead singer of indie rock band "Allura", Chua has since released five solo albums and performed at major events including the Youth Olympic Games, Singapore F1 Grand Prix, TEDxWomen, and South by Southwest, where she was the first Singaporean solo artist to perform at the leading U.S festival.
Chua's music is a palpable blend of jazz, pop, electronic music and alternative rock, though her latest creative work, "Til The End Of The World, We'll Meet In No Man's Land" has seen her pushing boundaries in the production of music and sound. In her upcoming concert, she'll be performing three songs — "MouseDeer", "Trees", and, lucky us, a never-before-heard new single. Get cosy on your couch with a drink in hand and let Chua take you into her personal soundscape next weekend.
