Buro 24/7 Singapore Weekly Playlist #46: Veronica Tan from Moonbeats Asia
Dancing in the moonlight
Veronica Tan, co-founder and managing partner of artist booking and promotion agency, Moonbeats Asia, shares a playlist ahead of their first ever warehouse party
There's a plethora of electronic music genres out there, and I sometimes wish for a longer lifespan so I can spend more time seeking out their hidden gems. After discovering Baths (and Neat Beats) through a college downtempo radio station about four years back, I was immediately drawn into the whole chillwave/glo-fi/IDM (intelligent dance music) scene, which I still cannot get enough of. This specially curated playlist features a mix of all-time favourites, current earworms and aural teasers for our Moonbeats Warehouse Party happening at Studio Point this month.
The playlist begins with the trap-influenced track Angel by Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth, who will be one of the two headliners for the party. I've also included tracks by MYRNE and et aliae, who are currently making waves in Singapore and around the globe. I am so incredibly proud of them and it's truly a pleasure to have them in our lineup. Earlier this year, we brought in synth virtuoso Com Truise — his new track Diffraction from the recently released album Silicon Tare is a small hint of what you may experience visually at the upcoming party, and my team and I cannot wait to share it with our punters!
Moonbeats Warehouse Party is happening on 16 April at Studio Point, 158 Kallang Wayfrom 9pm to late. Get your tickets here.
