Bernhard Schwarz: Buro 24/7 Singapore Playlist #145
I pretty much listen to music every day while I'm working - Spotify definitely helps me to discover a lot of new artists and also by following people who I think have good taste in music. I also closely watch the festival scene and see how and what acts they are currently booking.
‘Drinkee’ by Sofi Tukker ended up being one of my most played songs in 2017. I love the groove and it's a great track to dance to. We've been trying to bring Andhim to Singapore for more than two years, but the timing never worked out so I'm really happy that it has finally worked out for Garden Beats 2018 so I've included their single, 'Boy Boy Boy.'
I just really like HVOB and their tracks like ‘Azrael’. We've hosted them three times in Singapore now. She's got a beautiful voice that melts with mesmerising beats and and on top of that they are just a bunch of very lovely people. Nils Frahm is the king of ambience - I'm always listening to him while I'm working, like 'Some' and I can't wait for his concert later this year at the Esplanade.
Two of my all time favourite acts are Bonobo and Nick Murphy and they ended up working together on the track, ‘No Reason’ so I just had to share it. Bonobo's show could have had a better sound system at Laneway. That was a bit of a pity.
