As Andy Samberg returns to television in the midseason premiere of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, we take a look at 5 of the comedian's best singing gigs

1. I'm So Humble with Adam Levine
Joining The Voice judge Adam Levine, Andy Samberg performed on the singing competition show in anticipation of Popstar: Never Stop Never Stop Popping, a mockumentary co-written by Samberg.

2. I Just Had Sex with Akon
It's a triumph for most people, so why not pen the self-congratulatory note into a song? Joined by Akon, Samberg put what most people are thinking into words for Saturday Night Live.

3. Finest Girl (Bin Laden song)
Only someone as endearing as Samberg can mix politics and love-making into a song, name-dropping Osama Bin Laden, no less. The tongue-in-cheek tune is also part of Samberg's Popstar movie.

4. 2015 Emmys opening routine
How do you include all the television shows of the past year into a clip and make it hilarious with "culturally-relevant but not too edgy jokes"? Watch Samberg's solution below.

5. Still Alive
What a year in celebrity deaths 2016 was. To celebrate Hollywood's lives that are still around, Samberg performed Pearl Jam's Alive at the 2017 Independent Spirit Awards, apologising to Pearl Jam first of course.
