Adelene Stanley: Buro. Singapore Pre-Show Playlist #205
This playlist will get you on your feet to dance when you need some spice in your day or when you need to get pumped before a show or gym sesh. I listen to these songs as I prepare and warm up right before every show, or whenever I need to get a head start on my day. This playlist puts me in the right mood — it's a mixture of happy vibes and sassy mama, sung by a few of my favourite artists.
"You Make My Dreams" by Hall and Oates reminds me of Joseph Gordon-Levitt doing the flash dance in 500 Days of Summer (2009). "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" is so infectious. Whitney Houston always gets me dancing.
"Animal Spirits" by Vulfpeck has a happy feel-good vibe and the song is so cleverly written. How can I not include a Bruno Mars song like "Chunky" when I'm talking about dancing and jamming? It's the lyrics in Diana Ross hit, "I'm Comin Out" that really gets me in the mood to step out of the house into the street.
