Valentine's Day: Comedians react to Tinder f*ckboi messages
So much swiping, so little time. While we believe that everyday should be Valentine's Day if you're a full-time lover (or a part-time lover and a full-time friend — cue The Moldy Peaches' 'Anyone Else But You'), it's hard not to get sucked into this commercial holiday designed to make us singletons feel even more alone. Dating apps don't make it any easier, too. Sure, Tinder, Happn, OkCupid and Coffee Meets Bagel have successfully matched couples to marriagehood, but it's also scarred some of us for life.
The single (and kinda ready to mingle) editorial members of Buro 24/7 Singapore have recently engaged in some pre-tonsil tennis action to secure a date before Valentine's Day, but it appears we bagged a one-way ticket to 'Douchetown' instead. We turned to comedians Sharul Channa, Jacky Ng and Preetipls to drop some knowledge on modern love, respectful Tinder action and what not to say. Watch the video above.
Catch Jacky Ng in Heat 2 of the Magners International Comedy Festival Competition 2018 on 23 February at The Merry Lion Comedy Café & Bar.
Check out Preetipls' new Valentine's Day video here.
Celebrate International Women's Day with Sharul Channa in Sharul Channa is a Pottymouth, a sequel to the 2017 solo special on 10 and 11 March at Black Box (Drama Centre) National Library.
