Nathan Hartono's jam isn't what you think it is — it's cheesy, and edible

You know you've met a Singaporean when... you're craving laksa with extra chili while its 40 degrees out.

My fondest memory from the last five decades is... family picnics at Botanic Gardens.

I wish Singapore would bring back... the 25 cent cone at McDonalds.

As a Singaporean, I really love to complain about... parking prices.

Singaporeans should stop complaining about... the weather. What the hell are you going to do about it?

The one local dish I would pay any amount for is... Bak Chor Mee.

In 10 years time, I would like to see Singapore... be recognized on a global scale for its arts scene. I feel like that is truly just a matter of time.

Singapore is uniquely... diverse. With all the talk about racial tensions all over the world, I feel like Singapore is one of the few places in the world that is closest to a semblance of racial harmony.

Chicken: Steamed or roasted... roasted. Obviously.

Durian: Bitter or sweet... Both. You can't have one without the other.
