Friends of Buro: SG50 interview with Nathan Hartono
You know you've met a Singaporean when... you're craving laksa with extra chili while its 40 degrees out.
My fondest memory from the last five decades is... family picnics at Botanic Gardens.
I wish Singapore would bring back... the 25 cent cone at McDonalds.
As a Singaporean, I really love to complain about... parking prices.
Singaporeans should stop complaining about... the weather. What the hell are you going to do about it?
The one local dish I would pay any amount for is... Bak Chor Mee.
In 10 years time, I would like to see Singapore... be recognized on a global scale for its arts scene. I feel like that is truly just a matter of time.
Singapore is uniquely... diverse. With all the talk about racial tensions all over the world, I feel like Singapore is one of the few places in the world that is closest to a semblance of racial harmony.
Chicken: Steamed or roasted... roasted. Obviously.
Durian: Bitter or sweet... Both. You can't have one without the other.
Favourite Singaporean past time: Bumming at Holland Village
Favourite Singlish word: KNNCCB. But if you can't publish that, then I guess I'll settle for 'lah'.
Favourite childhood game: Freeze & Melt
Favourite childhood snack: Super Rings. Because it's still my jam.
Favourite hawker centre: People's Park food centre
