'The Dead Don't Die': Watch Adam Driver, Bill Murray, Selena Gomez and more fight zombies in Jim Jarmusch's new flick

Bad Blood

Filmmaker Jim Jarmusch has acquired a cultish aura and following over the years, ever since his highly riveting Stranger Than Paradise (1984) clinched the prestigious Camera D'Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival. His last production, Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) saw Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and the late Anton Yelchin play centuries-old vampiric musicians who battle depression against the languid backdrop of Tangier, Morocco.

His upcoming summer movie, The Dead Don't Die, couldn't be any more different. For starters, it's set in a quaint suburban American town, sometime we're guessing  in the 1990s, which is trending at the moment now apparently. That's not all; the film features a star-studded cast of the coolest cats in Hollywood. The best part though; all of them will have to fend off a wave of undead, blood-thirsty zombies.

From the looks of the a-mile-a-minute trailer above, we'll get to see perennially shirtless American musician Iggy Pop return from the grave and dismember a waitress at a diner, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's Carol Kane looking ghoulish with a strange craving for chardonnay.

The only people standing guard happen to be a handsome-looking Adam Driver, a paunchy Bill Murray and a bespectacled Chloe Sevigny, who play the local sheriffs in town. The trailer also features cameos by a samurai sword-wielding Tilda Swinton that's giving us plenty of Kill Bill vibes, Selena Gomez as the resident chick, hypebeast Lukka Sabbat as her bae presumably, American rapper RZA as a badass UPS guy, Danny Glover as one of the town's men and lastly, the legendary Steve Buscemi who we witness for a split-second getting ripped apart.

The Dead Don't Die hits theatres in the Singapore on 18 July.
