Comedian Shalynn Hobelsberger recounts the time she accidentally sent people into panic mode in the midst of a pandemic
These are strange times indeed. Still, to quote Dumbledore, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times — if one only remembers to turn on the light. In search of some light in this pandemic, we got comedians to recount funny, ridiculous, and outlandish situations they've found themselves in because of COVID-19. In this instalment, Shalynn Hobelsberger recounts the time she accidentally sent people into panic mode in the mist of a global pandemic.
"The other day, I was cooking when I realised that I was out of yogurt. I ran to the convenience store, grabbed the yogurt and some Panadol just because we were out of it.
The queue at the cashier was insane though. While standing in line... I suddenly had to sneeze. It was loud, and the crowd parted like the Red Sea. They were staring at me as I was walking to the cashier, so I turned around to address them and said, ‘This Panadol is for my mom!'"
