Dynasties

Who's behind it?
This five-part series is produced by BBC Earth, the masterminds behind Planet Earth and Blue Planet and presented by England's national treasure and voice of God, Sir David Attenborough.

What is it about?
Each episode in this series will be dedicated to one particular family from an endangered species: chimpanzees on the edge of the Sahara in Senegal, emperor penguins in the frozen tundras of Antarctica, lions on the golden savannahs of Kenya's Masai Mara, painted wolves on the floodplains of the great Zambezi River in Zimbabwe and tigers in the rugged jungles of Bandhavgarh, India. BBC Studios' Natural History Unit has painstakingly filmed them over four years in a new format that attempts to replicate the tropes of a Keeping Up with the Kardashian episode: manipulative politics, petty catfights, forging of alliances, seething rivalries and contemptuous family feuds.

How is the Internet reacting?
"If only my school lessons were this interesting."

When is it being launched?
Dynasties will premiere in Singapore at 4:30 am on 12 November on BBC Earth (Starhub Channel 407) and BBC Player.

DOGS

Who's behind it?
The episodes are helmed by critically acclaimed directors including Academy Award-nominated Amy Berg (Deliver Us From Evil), Academy Award-winning Roger Ross Williams (Life Animated, Music by Prudence), Academy Award-nominated Heidi Ewing (Jesus Camp, One of Us), Emmy Award-winning Richard Hankin (The Jinx) and Academy Award-winners T.J. Martin and Daniel Lindsay (Undefeated).

What's it about?
This docuseries celebrates the beauty, loyalty and diversity of dogs in all their glory as well as their ability to create deep and meaningful emotional bonds with people. Each episode tracks an incredible story from across the globe: service dog Rory and 11-year-old seizure-inflected Corrine in the United States; Ayham and his quest to reunite with Zeus, a Siberian Huskey that's stranded in war-torn Syria; Ice, a 10-year-old Labrador that lives in a picturesque fishing town in Lake Como; and a free-roaming thousand-dog sanctuary in the Costa Rican rainforest. There'll be plenty of feels, tears and wet kisses.

How is the Internet reacting?
"I pressed 'play' and immediately started sobbing."

When is it being launched?
Dogs will launch globally on Netflix on 16 November.
