FILMS

Title: Spider-Man: Far from Home
Cast: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Jake Gyllenhaal
Release date: 4 July 2019
What to expect: There's speculation that this sequel means Peter Parker and Nick Fury will survive Avengers: Endgame. In this flick, Spider-man goes abroad to take on a few elemental villains. A new super villain, Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) also makes an appearance.

Title: Black Widow
Cast: Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Rachel Weisz
Release date: May 2020
What to expect: Appearing in a total of 10 Marvel movies so far, Scarlett Johansson (Natalia Alianova Romanoff AKA The Black Widow) will finally receive her own stand-alone movie. The movie will rewind the clock to when she was a Russian spy during the Cold War. Obviously, since this is a genesis plotline, there is no indication that she'll survive Avengers: Endgame. It also remains to be seen if her relationships with Hawkeye and The Winter Soldier will be explored like it was in the comics.

Title: The Eternals
Cast: Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani
Release date: 6 November 2020
What to expect: MCU's (Marvel Cinematic Universe) future movies are rumoured to be packed with more cosmic characters from its archive. Created in 1976, The Eternals were supposedly a breed of immortal beings who lived on Earth, helping civilization and protecting the solar system. Angelina Jolie crosses over from her breath-taking performance in Disney's Maleficent into the MCU but which of The Eternals will she embody?

Title: Black Panther 2
Cast: Chadwick Boseman, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o
Release date: 2021
What to expect: Rumours of a sequel have been swirling ever since the first movie raked in more than 1 billion in ticket sales worldwide. More importantly, the movie represented a landmark shift in black representation in Hollywood. However, due to the circumstances in Infinity War, Marvel has not officially released much information about the sequel. Alledgedly, Erik 'Killmonger' Stevens (Michael B Jordan) may return as well.

Title: Shang-Chi
Cast: Unknown
Release date: 5 November 2021
What to expect: Still in the works, master of Kung Fu, Shang Chi will be Marvel's first Asian superhero movie.

Title: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Cast: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel
Release date: 18 February 2022
What to expect: After getting fired by Disney last year, director and writer of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise, James Gunn, was out of the picture. However, the community responded with a petition that recently got him his job back. Although there aren't any further details, we can expect the third instalment to take us deeper into the universe where the motley crew of characters will defend the galaxy from cosmic enemies.

TELEVISION SERIES

Title: Falcon and The Winter Soldier
Cast: Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan
Release date: 2019
What to expect: It's expected to be a six to eight episodic limited series that's part of Disney's upcoming streaming service to be launched later this year. In the comics, the duo fights side by side along with Captain America.

Title: WandaVision
Cast: Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany
Release date: 2020
What to expect: Another spin-off to look forward to on Disney+, adorable lovebirds The Vision and Scarlet Witch are finally getting the spotlight they deserve. The series is reportedly set in the 1950s.

Title: Loki
Cast: Tom Hiddleston
Release date: 2020
What to expect: Michael Wardron, who is best known for writing and producing American adult cartoon Rick and Morty, will be heading the series. Nothing concrete has been released yet but there have been speculations that Loki may be travelling back and forth in time, changing history or simply being a part of it. Another prequel speculation is that Tom Hiddleston will just be narating while a younger version of himself will be played by another actor.

Title: Hawkeye
Cast: Jeremy Renner
Release date: 2020
What to expect: His lack of screen time as an Avenger left many fans scratching their heads to figure out his backstory. We're guessing the series will provide some clues to the trauma he has hinted at as well as how he made his way to join the last defenders.

Title: Lady Sif
Cast: Jaimie Alexander
Release date: 2020
What to expect: She made her first appearence in the 2011 Thor movie as a good friend and a fearless warrior of Asgard. Lady Sif's stand-alone TV series will probably show her fending off invaders and maybe falling for a love interest.
