#WomanCrushWednesday: Rachel McAdams

Sweet thing

Once famous as one half of McGosling — Rachel McAdams has come into her own as a versatile actress

Fans of the chameleonlike Canadian actress may know her as teen mean queen Regina George in the seminal flick Mean Girls or one half of cinema's most romantic couples in Nick Cassavetes' The Notebook, but the actress has reinvented herself in grittier fare like the recent release Southpaw and HBO's ongoing True Detective 2.

Having working with everyone from Woody Allen to Robert Downey Jr., McAdams has miraculously maintained her fresh-faced ingénue appeal. Unlike many Hollywood actresses she is never over-accessorised, over-coiffed or over-Botoxed. In fact, the 36-year-old seems almost ageless, looking no older than she did in her breakout Mean Girls role.

Another thing we love about McAdams? Her ability to rock any hair colour from red to brunette to blonde. Plus any woman who has managed to snare Ryan Gosling's heart both on screen and off definitely gets our attention.
