Without a doubt, minimalism has been the most popularly received aesthetic movements across fashion, art and design. This year, the pared-back approach to life and the arts has been thrust into the spotlight once again with the global prominence of Japanese organising consultant Marie Kondo and the local success of National Gallery Singapore's blockbuster Minimalism exhibition.
